Retailer Voluntary Code of Practice


All of our members agree to adhere to the following Code of Practice, this is to make buying cloth nappies a safer more enjoyable experience.

1) All Retailers will comply with current Distance Selling Regulations, these include but are not limited to.

  • Displaying a physical contact address in an easily accessable place
  • Have a returns policy that does not adversely affect the customer
  • Allow the customer a reasonable amount of time to cancel an order (min 7 days from date of delivery)
  • Provide the customer with clear information regarding pricing, including all taxes and delivery costs

Who We Are


The Federation of Cloth Nappy Retailers are a group of UK based independent cloth nappy retailers dedicated to giving consumers the service that they deserve along with the best range of products.

All of our members :-

1) Are UK based independent retailers of cloth nappies, selling multiple brands not tied or restricted to any brand or brands in particular.
2) Have a bricks and mortar store and/or a website to retail their products.
3) Have a maximum 5 employees
4) Have been trading for a minimum of 1 year
5) Abide by the FCNR Code of Practice

Real Nappy Week 2013

Billy the Cloth Bummed Kid and a group of his friends have got together to organise the Great British Nappy Hunt

Pop over to his website (click on the image below) and join in, there is loads of information relating to the use and benefits of Cloth Nappies, guides on setting up an event to spread the word about cloth and loads of great prizes up for grabs.

It’s not all about the prizes though, the main aim is to educate and inform non cloth users about the choices they have and maybe introduce a few.

Real Nappy Week runs from the 15th to the 21st of April ’13 but you can get involved now!!
